North Carolina Balloon Festival

(GrapeVineTrail) - The 35th Annual Carolina BalloonFest takes flight October 24 and continues soaring over Statesville, NC through October 26! The Statesville Regional Airport will again be host to the second-oldest hot air balloon festival held in the United States, featuring 50 breath-taking hot air balloons dotting the sky and a Saturday evening Hot Air Balloon Glow, sponsored by AT&T. In addition to the magnificent hot air balloons, activities for the whole family include on-stage entertainment, a Kid’s Fun Zone, shopping at the Artisan Village and BalloonFest Marketplace, as well as wine tasting at Time Warner Cable’s Carolina BalloonFest NC Wines. New this year, the BalloonFest ground will be host to four geocaches!

Guests are invited to bring their own lawn chairs to the event before the actual balloon launch to enjoy all the entertainment. Times are as

Friday, October 24 3:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Saturday, October 25 7:00 am – 9:00 pm

Sunday, October 26 7:00 am – 6:00 pm
