Seven Indiana Wineries Form Indy Wine Trail
INDIANAPOLIS (www.GrapeVineTrail.com)– Seven wineries have joined together to form the Indy Wine Trail, the third wine trail in Indiana. The trail is made up of Indiana wineries from central Indiana, working together to offer customers the Indiana wine experience. Customers can travel to the participating wineries to learn about the various wines produced in the state.
Participating wineries include Buck Creek Winery (Indianapolis), Chateau Thomas Winery (Plainfield), Easley Winery (Indianapolis), Ferrin’s Fruit Winery (Carmel), Grape Inspirations Winery (Carmel), Mallow Run Winery (Bargersville), and Simmons Winery (Columbus).
Working cooperatively, the seven wineries will offer special events throughout the year. Future events include celebrations around Valentine’s Day, a BBQ feast during the summer and visits with the winemakers.
“The Indy Wine Trail gives all seven wineries a wonderful chance to work together and showcase the outstanding wines Indiana wineries produce,” said Dr. Charles Thomas, owner of Chateau Thomas Winery. “We look forward to seeing many visitors to the Trail during the course of the Christmas season.”
Currently, the Indy Wine Trail is featuring a passport program where visitors receive a free wine glass after visiting all seven wineries.
For those traveling the trail, the participating wineries will offer suggestions for overnight accommodations and meals. Since the trail includes visits to seven wineries, everyone is encouraged to designate a driver and drink responsibly.
